Microsoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming Killer Instinct, revealing the first all new character to feature in its upcoming fighting franchise revival.

The clip stars Sadira, who is the spider-themed femme fatale that was briefly teased in a previous video, and this new video also closes with a tease of it's own: a few seconds of another dangerous looking lady that bears a strong resemblance to The original game's Black Orchid. Check it out below.

Killer Instinct is in the works for Xbox One, as a free-to-play title that will offer players a single character for no charge, and pitch the rest of the cast as paid DLC.

Will be interesting to see the size of the character roster. I'm betting this F2P title will end up being way, way more expensive than if the title were to be retailed at say $80 or so.

Not that I'm going to bother with an Xbone.

It's 6 characters on launch, with Jago free in every mode, other 5 can either be purchased separately or outright for $20 (add another $20 if you want the KI arcade port and some extra skins) Another 2 characters released shortly after for x amount of $, then there are going to be 2 seasons of character releases, probably 4 characters in each season.
All up I'm expecting 16-20 characters over the lifetime of the game.

God, I forgot all about killer instinct. Killer instinct gold was my first fighter game on N64. I loved that game. Too bad I won't be buying an xbox one :/
