In the highly-plausible (i.e. not) situation where the United States is occupied by a superior military force, players take on the role of a resistance fighter as they struggle to take back the streets of Philadelphia. Available now for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Homefront: The Revolution offers up an extensive single player campaign as well as a co-operative Resistance Mode for up to four players.
Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force.
A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions - you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.
But your enemy has the advantage - superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.
"With Homefront: The Revolution, we deliver a reboot of the Homefront IP, a brand new open world shooter game with asymmetric, guerilla warfare. Not only that, we also deliver with it a deep story about defending our values, defending our country, defending our society, and that is as current as it can be," said Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media.
As just like with every new release, an Expansion Pass is also available which will include two expansions set to be released this year plus a much larger expansion in 2017.
indeed, i was contemplating it, as I was genuinely a fan of the original from the beginning. But i dont see anything appealing at all about this reboot. Plus, im too preoccupied with doom :)

The first game copped alot of flak but I still enjoyed the story. Kind of hard launching an FPS after the success of DOOM as well, poor timing on their part.
