Like the Ashes but with the time-honored sport of competitive Counter Strike. Funnily enough this will mark the third Australia V England CS:GO showdown which has been dubbed The Caches, and will see both current and veteran Australian and English Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players go head to head.

Team Australia will be captained by Chad “Spunj” Burchill, and coming off two previous victories is no doubt looking to lead the team to victory on home turf. “The Caches is one of the most popular fixtures of IEM Sydney, along with huge vocal crowds, and top-notch CS:GO," said Burchill. "We’re proud to represent Australia, and hit the Brits for six on our home turf, serving as a prelude to the CS:GO final on Sunday May 5.”

IEM Sydney 2019 returns to the Qudos Bank Arena from May 3-5 and will see sixteen of the world’s best CS:GO teams shoot it out for their share of the $US 250,000 prize pool. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketek.
