Skate 2 continues the Flickit revolution but adds perhaps a little too much on the wrong side of what was already an awesome formula. But, as with the first game, Free Skate is where the bread and butter of fun and gameplay is here, so if you like to chill and roll around the streets tearing it up, EA might just have something for you...

Lord of the Rings Conquest takes the Dynasty Warriors formula and applies it to Middle-Earth. Hordes of orcs, men and elves (among others) now face off against each other, but is it a faithful expansion of the epic battles found within Peter Jackson's trilogy? Not likely...

An all-new Prince of Persia with a revamped art style utilising the Assassin's Creed engine might sound like a great idea on paper, but what Ubisoft Montreal have delivered here is a beautiful tech-demo. The game is empty and falls short of ultimately engaging the player. It's still fun, but fundamentally lacking in many, many areas...

Combining disaster movies, action, romance and the cheesiest dialogue this side of any Michael Bay movie with various Wii interactions was actually a pretty good idea on Nintendo's part. Back to WWII but definitely not back to square one. Call of Duty: World At War takes the incredibly solid foundations of last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and builds upon them in various ways. It's stuff we've seen before, but a lot of it is definitely worth reliving omce again. And with a solid multiplayer and Zombie Nazis to tackle, this disc will be spinning in your platform of choice for quite a while to come...

Mirror's Edge tries many new things and equally gets many of them right. There are definitely a few gripes we have with Fallout 3, but they're not necessarily strong enough to dwarf what Bethesda have crafted here. Fallout 3 is one of the most thoughtful, expressive games in a long time. It lacks in some key areas it would be great to see Bethesda broaching as part of their design methods, but we just can't get angry when there're so many mutant zombie heads to explode...

Another Spider-man game gone wrong through an utter mismanagement of the character, lore and history. Swinging around is certainly a lot of fun alongside the crazy combo system, but these elements alone just aren;t enough to save Your Friendly Neigbourhood Spider-man from sheer disappointment. One down, on to the next one...
