While the year may nearly be up, console maker and game developer Nintendo aired their (presumably) last Nintendo Direct for 2013 early this morning, bringing with it a number of new trailers for upcoming games but also announcing a few titles out from the left field.
Focusing on both the Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo revealed a nice round number of new information for upcoming games, including the brand new collaboration title between Nintendo and Tecmo-Koei named Hyrule Warrior. This new Wii U title sees the combination of the Legend of Zelda world with the long-running Warriors universe, bringing a pure hack 'n' slash of melee combat with a with Link smashing through a field swarming with hundreds of moblins.
Other highlights from the show include a gorgeous Mario Kart 8 trailer confirming a number of features returning to the popular series, but also the addition of Rosalina as a playable character. Yoshi fans were treated to a new Yoshi's New Island trailer for the 3DS, while those still not satisfied with the Year of Luigi have been offered a Dr Mario spin-off featuring the green counterpart titled Dr Luigi.
For the Wii U crowd Nintendo offered up a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. introducing Rosalina as a playable character, a new look at the Wii Sports Club title and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The presentation also revealed that Sonic Lost World on Wii U will be gaining a Yoshi-themed DLC to help spice up the blue hedgehog's life.
You can check out all the action in the full presentation below, and we'll have all the trailers made available shortly so keep your eyes peeled!
