Breaking into any new club is always a rough road, but having new ideas does get you somewhere and, all jokes aside, Ubisoft's upcoming foray into Battle Royale via Hyper Scape is looking to definitely throw some spanners at some cogs.

"We wanted Hyper Scape to be fast-paced and action-packed, we focused on making the players quick to action when they start in the match," explained Ubisoft Montreal's Graeme Jennings when we asked about how they worked to stand out in the BR crowd. "On top of this we wanted traversal to be fun and interesting; the ability to navigate inside interiors and then on to a jump pad and straight into parkour on the rooftops. Secondly, we wanted to keep players exploring and moving around the map. Fusion is a perfect way to do this and players search for extra types of their weapon to improve it to the top tier of fusion."

Our full interview covers weapons, loot drops, premium vs F2P, UI and presentation, and much, much more. Click here for the full convo.
