As per our recent hands-on with the PC port of PlayStation 4 masterpiece Horizon Zero Dawn it was hard not to be consistently and regularly blown away by its visuals - now enhanced to take advantage of modern PC hardware. Outside of some inconsistencies in the frame-rate department we didn't have any major issues or crashes in the 15-hours we spent as Aloy. Others it seems, have been having issues.

From crashing to performance problems mostly - which have been reported on community forums on Steam and directly to developer Guerrilla Games. In a new response, Guerrilla notes that it has seen and heard, and is now taking the necessary steps to address the issues.
We have been monitoring all of our channels and are aware that some players have been experiencing crashes and other technical issues. Please know that we are investigating your reports as our highest priority.

We appreciate those who have already taken the time to report their issues on Steam, Reddit, or via our website. If you are still encountering crashes or bugs, please continue to use those spaces, or refer to our FAQ if you are unsure of how to proceed. Your reports are, and have already been, incredibly helpful for our teams.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to investigate issues; we will update you all as soon as we have more news.

As one of the most visually impressive games currently out here. Here's Exhibit A, B, and C on that matter...

... it's good to hear that Guerrilla are looking into the game crashing for some out there. Broadly speaking though, we hope the team also looks to improve overall performance -- getting dips on a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is a little concerning. Ideally, we'd love to see DLSS 2.0 support - ala Death Stranding. If anything the launch here is reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption 2's PC debut, another instance of a stunning game looking better than ever - but with issues (that have since mostly been ironed out).
