Which would see one of Sony's most recognised PlayStation 4 exclusives makes its way to another platform, in what is also being reported as potentially the first of many potential ports. Although not official, Kotaku's Jason Schreier cites multiple sources confirming Horizon Zero Dawn will be way to the Epic Games Store and Steam sometime this year.

No reasoning for the PC-port is given but seeing as how Horizon Zero Dawn dates back to 2017 - the move will no doubt open the game up to a larger audience. And enough time has past that the move feels like a great way for Sony to re-enter the PC market. Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is coming to PC this year too but that release is being published by 505 Games. On that note, Death Stranding does use Guerrilla's Decima Engine - so perhaps this is simply a way to capitalise on getting the underlying tech running on modern PC hardware.

And we'd love to see Horizon running above 60 frames-per-second on a high-end rig.

That aside, it's always good news when a great game makes its way to a larger audience. As per Joab's review, "At the end of the day I loved Horizon Zero Dawn when it was a small, contained dinosaur hunting game — and then I loved it more when it revealed it was actually The Witcher: Dinosaur Edition."

Smart move from Sony. Wait until the very end of its console life cycle and then make its best system sellers available on PC and hopefully get more people to want to play the sequels which will be PS5 exclusive.

Great game btw. probably my favorite PS4 exclusive. Have wanted to play the expansion but not gonna pay $23 when the complete edition is only acouple bucks more... I already own the base game!
