The sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn was the final game shown during the impressive PlayStation 5 reveal event and it didn't disappoint. Although cinematic in its approach the Horizon Forbidden West gameplay shots look and feel next-gen, showcasing a stunning level of detail and beauty across the world, characters, and lush futuristic setting.

Check it out.

Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s story as she moves west to a far-future America to brave a majestic, but dangerous frontier where she’ll face awe-inspiring machines and mysterious new threats.

As per the description, developer Guerilla is moving the action out-west to an unrecognisable America of the distant future - with footage depicting snow-capped peaks, swamps, open fields, deserts, and stunning oceanic settings. In fact the brief underwater section shown looks amazing. We also see a digital Lance Reddick reprising his role as Sylens, Aloy's companion.

No release date or window has been set (meaning this probably isn't a launch title) but Horizon Forbidden West is headed to PlayStation 5.
