As per developer IO Interactive, HITMAN Trilogy "brings together HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2 and HITMAN 3 into a single package" and is set to launch on January 20. Coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC it's also headed to Xbox Game Pass on PC and Console.
The announcement and launch coincides with the debut of HITMAN 3 Year 2 which includes a new mode called Elusive Target Arcade which introduces a series of consecutive Elusive Target missions increasing in challenge.
January 20 is going to be a massive day for HITMAN fans as HITMAN 3 arrives on Steam with full support for VR. "With PC VR, we’re supporting the most popular hardware to deliver the best experience to as many players as possible," writes IO Interactive. "Our goal is to hit the benchmark for interaction and gameplay that PC VR players are looking for – all with the Hitman style and freedom that our game offers."
On the PC front ray-tracing is also on the cards for 2022 in addition to VRS (Variable Rate Shading) to boost PC performance.
Finally, IO has teased a brand-new mode coming 'Spring 2022' called HITMAN Freelancer which is described as a roguelike with strategic planning where you'll also have a "customisable safehouse".
"You can configure and customise the safehouse to your exact specifications and spend as much time as you want there," writes IO. "Whether you want to pick out a new suit, browse and test your weapons at the firing range or make changes to your décor, it’s all possible. The Safehouse is also an important space because all of your pre-mission planning takes place there."
From there campaign missions are being re-designed to support the new mode where there'll be a mission hub that will see your Agent 47 trek the globe taking out targets before returning home.
