The 3.110 patch for HITMAN 3 for PC has dropped, and in terms of visual updates it's a big one - bringing ray-tracing support in the form of realistic reflections and shadows. "Ray tracing the detailed environments of HITMAN 3 is quite demanding on the GPU," writes IO Interactive. "To get the best experience it’s important to select graphics quality settings that match your installed GPU."
Which is par for the course when it comes to ray-tracing, which is where NVIDIA DLSS steps in to boost performance. And with that, developer IO Interactive recommends at least a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER at a minimum for the new effects.
As that DLSS bump is big one too, with NVIDIA's 4K trailer for the HITMAN 3 update showcasing an impressive 2X performance increase.
The new HITMAN 3 update also supports AMD's FSR, though in its not quite up to par 1.0 version. The new HITMAN update isn't all about going RTX on with ray-tracing and DLSS, as the update also includes a number of tweaks, fixes, and new content.
In other DLSS news NVIDIA announced 12 titles that are being added to the DLSS-list (which now features over 180 games and applications), which are:
Deep Rock Galactic
F1 22
LEAP
Ghost
Loopmancer
HITMAN 3
Hydroneer
Propnite
Raji: An Ancient Epic
Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong
Turbo Sloths
Warstride Challenges
F1 22 will be stepping up its ray-tracing game this year with a suite of supported effect now including: ray-traced opaque reflections, ray-traced transparent reflections, ray-traced ambient occlusion, and ray-traced shadows.
