Announced and revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct earlier today, Hi-Fi Rush is the next game from The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo developer Tango Gameworks. And... it's out now for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and on Xbox Game Pass. A rhythm action game that's part Jet Set Radio, part Devil May Cry, and 100% cool.

Gameplay is described as "an awesome music vide", check it out.

Players take on the role of Chai, a free-spirited slacker with rockstar ambitions whose music player is fused in his chest. Chai must defend himself through rhythmic combat featuring licensed tracks from iconic rock bands including Nine Inch Nails and The Black Keys, with the help of a motley crew of allies.

"Hi-Fi Rush is something like the ‘Baby Driver’ of video games," writes Joe Skrebels, Xbox Wire Editor-in-Chief. "It’s not just a game set to music, but a game driven by it in every respect. Combos need to be hit in time to the music for the highest scores, enemies telegraph their attacks more with sound than animation, and platforming challenges rely on you being able to read the music as much as the environment. Hell, Chai’s idle animations see him finger-snapping along to whatever you happen to be listening to at the time."
