Blizzard's upcoming free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm has now officially moved out of alpha and into closed beta for Australian and New Zealand players, bringing a variety of updates to the game to boot.
Among your typical changes seen in moving development phases is a brand new desert-themed Battleground map titled Sky Temple, which challenges players to fight for control of ancient Temples. A new hero, Thrall the Horde Warchief, is also available as the newest melee assassin, plus a new Hero League (read: ranked mode) for competitive multiplayer and Draft Mode for those wanting a true MOBA experience.
A complete list of the updates to the game can be found in this week's patch notes, as well as a brief look at the closed beta shift in the video below. Players wanting to jump in on the action are sadly still required to go through a signup process, but hopefully open beta isn't too far away.
