Fun fact, when the original Mortal Kombat arrived on home consoles in the first half of the 1990s Nintendo has all blood and gore removed from the arcade to console port. No such censorship will be present in the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11, as today comes the first propper gameplay footage of the fighter running on the console.
And with the game out next week you can understand why Switch owners have been a little concerned with this version. Due to the hardware limitations of the handheld hybrid when compared to the PS4 or Xbox One. And although this Nintendo Switch gameplay trailer is mostly made up of pre-rendered cut-scenes, the actual in-game stuff looks smooth and surprisingly well detailed.
In other Mortal Kombat 11 news, today we've also got the Shao Khan reveal trailer that shows the classic villain face off against other classic fighters like Raiden and Sub Zero. Including a rather intense Fatality.
