Last week we got word that Skyblivion, the massive and impressive remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as a mod for Skyrim is targeting a 2025 release window. Today comes an in-depth gameplay demonstration, alongside an extensive Q&A session, that was recorded by the team over the weekend.
It begins like Obvlion, emerging into the vast green landscape of Cyrodiil. Showing off different outfits and designs for the remake, we see several familiar locations alongside a few side quests.
Check it out. It's four hours of Skyblivion goodness.
Naturally, the video focuses on areas and sections that are far along in terms of development, and the results are super impressive. From the improved boss fight with Mannimarco Oblivion to Peryite's Realm given an overhaul (so it doesn't look like every other Oblivion gate). Oblivion is the sort of game that would benefit from a remake, a classic RPG that could use a few modern touches and reworks to its open world.
When Skyblivion is finally released, you'll need copies of both Skyrim Special Edition and Oblivion on PC to run it.
