At a recent hands-on event we got to play through a sizable chunk of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and gave you our thoughts. In addition to that we've got an interview with one of the lead designers going up soon. In the meantime why not watch some of the action with as Bethesda provides footage of the opening moments of the game. And a section set in Roswell, New Mexico.
Sitting at over 50 minutes of in-game footage, there's more than enough here to showcase just how good this sequel looks -- showcasing both its action and cinematic qualities.
First up is the opening moments of the game, where a wheelchair-bound BJ Blazkowicz has to fight his way to freedom.
Next up is the mission set in Roswell, New Mexico. This is a great showcase for the detail poured into the game's alternate 1961 especially with the blend of Nazi propoganda and small-town Americana. And secret underground bases related to Area 51.
Finally, comes an epic boss battle. Which, funnily enough (or, cowardly) I kind of skipped in my demo time. By running right past the giant mech monstrosity in an attempt to make a beeline for the exit. Which worked!
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches October 27 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
