Techland has released a new gameplay trailer from Hellraid, the first person fantasy dungeon crawler that started life as an in-house mod for Dead Island before being retooled as a complete game. The big news for the game is that it has transitioned from the Dead Island engine to Chrome Engine 6 -- the tech used in Techland's zombie survival title Dying Light.
Hellraid is a dark fantasy action game from the company behind Dying Light, the Dead Island and the Call of Juarez series. It's a unique mix of melee, magic and ranged combat that can be played both in single-player and 2-4 player co-op.
Since its reveal last year, Hellraid has expanded and evolved thanks to the developers’ experience and players’ feedback. While the game will remain faithful to its first-person co-op slasher gameplay, Techland has decided to implement new features and technology, and is now ready to announce them and show it all off in a brand new trailer.
The "game features" gameplay trailer accompanies a new round of previews and interviews from international publications that were recently invited out to the developer's studio in Poland, here's a few: Rock, Paper, Shotgun, Polygon, and VG247.
Hellraid is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Steam Early Access for PC coming in Spring 2014 (Northen Autumn) ahead of a full launch in 2015.
