The Xbox 360 doesn't offer the kind of mod support that PC players in their most moddable games, but Halo's Forge mode (first introduced in 2007's Halo 3) does enable an outlet for user-created content that is at least better than many other locked-down games.

Today, Gamespot is featuring a new trailer that showcases Forge Mode in the upcoming Halo 4, and details and demonstrates a bunch of new features that have been added this time around, including an ordinance system, palette selection, gravity volumes, and a stack of other interface tweaks to increase the user-friendliness of the whole thing.

Check it out below.

Halo 4 is due on November 6th 2012, exclusive to Xbox 360.
