Sales of Grand Theft Auto V are one of those things that are constant, like gravity, and Avatar movies that look impressive and silly. As part of a new Take-Two Interactive financial report we learn that GTA V sales have surpassed a staggering 165 million. Thanks in part to the re-release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S this means it has sold at least 5 million copies since February 2022.

Which was when the last financial do-dad was released. In other Rockstar Games sales news, Red Dead Redemption II has now surpassed 44 million copies sold, which represents an additional million sales in the past few months. Naturally this means both franchises continue to do extremely well, where the likes of GTA Online continues to drive microtransaction revenue.

At this point it's probably safe to assume that just about everyone owns a copy of GTA V somewhere, though we wouldn't be surprised if it one day becomes the first 200 million seller.
