Warner have released the first actual gameplay trailer for their upcoming action game Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, which of course, is the obligatory videogame tie-in that's due to accompany the film starring Ryan Reynolds in a few months.
As we all know, video games based on films seldom work out to the benefit of gamers. That said, Warner have at least one feather in their cap with the acclaimed Batman Arkham Asylum proving that games based on their superhero comic licenses can actually work if handled correctly.
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is in the works at Double Helix Games, the California-based team who most recently brought us Front Mission Evolved and while the gameplay in this new trailer isn't exactly Arkham Asylum quality, it at least appears to be a cut about the recent
Thor and
Captain America offerings.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is due on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS on June 15th.
