With the first bit of DLC that makes up the Season Pass for Star Wars Battlefront launching next week, EA and DICE have released a new trailer showcasing what players can expect to find. Called Outer Rim, the expansion brings four new maps, some weapons, and a new mode to the game called Extraction. One of the new heroes (or villains) coming to the game is Greedo, and the universe's most hated Rodian is featured heavily in the trailer. In the sort of setting where it's okay if he shoots first.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the new Extraction mode coming to the game, and based on this glimpse it's safe to say that it looks like the Battlefront version of Payload, the popular move-the-cargo-slowly-mode seen in Team Fortress 2 and Blizzard's Overwatch. Which, is a welcome addition to the game. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in Battlefront, where classes and roles don't extent all that further from "shoot bad guy".
In addition to the Season Pass content, there's some free stuff coming to all players, including something called Hutt Contracts, a spectator mode, and an increased level cap.

The next LAN is the LAN that always was, CS.
Waiting for anything else is fantasy.
