Rockstar Games has revealed full details of the Special Edition and Collector’s Edition of their upcoming open-world sandbox title Grand Theft Auto 5. The new editions will both include a collectible steelbox, a blueprint map of the world plus several interesting in-game rewards.
Retailing for $119 at
EB Games, the Grand Theft Auto 5 Special Edition features a copy of the game; a Steelbook case bearing Grand Theft Auto 5 artwork; a replica map of Los Santos and Blaine Country in blueprint style; and a number of in-game bonuses including a boost ability that increases regen by 25%, new outfits and tattoo skins, additional weapons such as the Pistol .50 and Bullpup Shotgun and the single-player Stunt Plane Trials, which will allow players to participate in special aerial challenges exclusively to both editions.
For those looking at gaining the full package, the Collector's Edition contains all previous Special Edition content plus a handful of additional goods including: custom money bag featuring a pop-up style lock and laser cut logo key to secure important items, a SnapBack cap covered with logos, classic Grand Theft Auto characters to use within the Grand Theft Auto Online Character Creation System and unique vehicles and garage property. Currently no retailers have listed the Collector's Edition for Australia, however the price is expected to be $169.95.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available on September 17 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
