As promised late last month, Rockstar Games has revealed that their $500,000 stimulus package is now being rolled out to all eligible players after the most recent patch helped fixed some of the more severe character progression bugs.
Announced just after the launch of the online portion of Grand Theft Auto 5, the cash injection was a compensation for the rocky launch of the new mode, which suffered from player-connection issues and lost save games. Rockstar's latest patch - which was rolled out on Tuesday - added safeguards to prevent the loss of progress, vehicles, mods and GTA$ if the Grand Theft Auto 5 cloud servers suffer an outage.
"Attention all players, we have begun the Stimulus Package direct deposit into each of your in-game bank accounts," offered a Rockstar statement today. "This GTA$500,000 deposit applies to all GTA Online players in the month of October 2013."
"We expect that it will take up to two full days for the Stimulus Package to be fully delivered to the entire player base from October 2013, so please be patient if you do not see it appearing in your in-game bank account just yet. "Thanks go out to everyone for their continued patience and understanding while we worked through these issues, and we can't wait to bring more into the world of GTA Online."
