With Godfall out November 12 on PlayStation 5 and PC, the new launch trailer for the "looter-slasher, melee action-RPG" presents some impressively fluid combat and highly detailed visuals for what is effectively a launch title for Sony's next-gen console.
It's worth noting that Godfall is not a live-service game, a term used to describe looter-style experiences - but a more traditional action-RPG with fluid third-person combat that looks to be a blend of Dark Souls and well any sort of weapon-based game where speed and skill go hand in hand. That said it will require an always-online connection for play.
Check it out.
Aperion is on the precipice of ruin. You are the last of the Valorian knights. Godlike warriors able to equip Valorplates, legendary armor sets that transform wielders into unstoppable masters of melee combat. Tear through foes as you climb through the elemental realms and challenge the mad god, Macros who awaits you at the top. Ascend in Godfall, the first-of-its-kind, looter-slasher, melee action-RPG.
Although coming to PC (via the Epic Games Store), we'll be reviewing this one on PS5 - so stay tuned for our full in-depth coverage.
