Goat Simulator, the upcoming joke game by Swedish developer Coffee Stain Studios that is now seeing a full release thanks to popular demand, has released a new trailer ahead of its official launch on April 1st, though with an added twist.
Taking some creative liberty from the original Dead Island cinematic trailer, Goat Simulator's launch trailer tries to recreate the heart-string drama and tragedy, though not quite as serious. Featuring explosions, goats, treadmills and of course slow mo effects, this is one weird trailer for an even weirder game.
"We're only eliminating the crash-bugs, everything else is hilarious and we're keeping it," the studio boasts on Goat Simulator's Steam page. The goal of the game is simple: wreck stuff. You'll control a goat and roam around destroying things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window if that's your style. Coffee Stain Studios has also included Steam Workshop support to upload new goats, and even new game modes and maps.
Goat Simulator will be available on April 1st, though eager goat enthusiasts can pre-order it for $9.99 on the official website and receive it three days early on 29th March.
