Someone ought to tell Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford and the Wii U to get a room. The outspoken studio head was praising Nintendo's forthcoming home console, and its unique controller, in relation for their forthcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines shooter to Vox Games recently, touting that "no other platform can do what the Wii U can do", and that it has "so much more to offer" than other consoles.

"If you love [Xbox] 360 games, you are not used to being in a world where you have this new interface," he told the site. "But once you get used to that, you imagine the possibilities. There are some opportunities that are just not possible on any platform that does not have that device.

"We have given it a lot of attention," Pitchford added. "I think it will not be too long [before] Nintendo opens up their kimono a little bit more about that platform and where it is going, and we will be there right with them talking about how Aliens is using it."

The full interview is an interesting read as it follows the development history, and future, of Gearbox Software. As for Wii U information, we'll know more as it trickles out ahead of Nintendo's obvious big official unveiling at this year's E3, so stay tuned for more as we have it.
