Pretty awesome season finale right? Easily the best episode of the season. Ahem. Anyway there isn't much to this rumour outside of the headline, because a user going by the name "That Damn Kid" on NeoGAF noticed a strange listing over at the Target website. The title Game of Thrones, coming from publisher Bethesda.

We do know that Bethesda has a number of unannounced open-world projects in the works, so this is definitely news worthy. Kind of. In the sense that imagining a Skyrim type open-world RPG set in Westeros is not a bad way to pass the time.

In terms of Game of Thrones games outside of the solid Telltale effort we've had a couple of middling affairs - an RPG called Game of Thrones and a strategy game called A Game of Thrones: Genesis. So a Bethesda game set in the universe would be quite the prospect.

But really, what a season finale for the show. Season 8 can't come soon enough.
