And it's still free-to-play. As you may recall Forza Motorsport 6: Apex entered Beta a while back as pretty high-profile Windows 10 exclusive, bringing elements from the critically acclaimed Xbox One racer to PCs with support for higher resolutions and more visual bells and whistles than its console counterpart. The full release is available now on the Windows 10 store, and comes with wheel support. A feature that many were looking for in the Beta.

Here the list of wheel peripherals supported so far (with more coming soon):
  • Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
  • Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
  • Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
  • Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
  • Thrustmaster T300RS
  • Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
  • Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
  • Thrustmaster T150
  • Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
  • Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
  • Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel

  • This is good news for those looking forward to the PC release of Forza Horizon 3, as this probably means that it will also be getting similar wheel support.

    >Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel - holy s*** I still have mine from like 100 years ago when windows..... 98? 2k? maybe? was a thing, I wonder if it's still compatible. I've always been a bigger fan of GranTurismo though.

I hope my t500RS and custom pedals will be good to go hate the thought of changing back to stock pedals even with Richmotech real brake mod

Whoop, what was the last of each series you played? Because I'd argue Forza has definitely overtaken GT in the racing game stakes

I'd argue a similar story there Steve (as someone who had amassed a vast amount of time in the GT series from day 1; and also at least had a crack at each iteration of Forza), I'd argue that it was around the time Forza 3/GT5 were around that Forza has shown more promise and managed to deliver on it with far greater pace than Polyphony.

I find it really disappointing how slowly Polyphony release their content, and how it doesn't seem to advance their games very well at each occasion. (Simply talking about the release of their flagship title and then steady introduction of features over the games life only to get switched off just as soon as their next, freshly empty, title launches)

That being said I noticed the lack of MP in the Forza 6: Apex beta before the wheel support. I wonder if that's coming at all and whether or not MS plans to enforce 'Live Gold' for multiplayer in order to promote it.

um.. what's the last one that was on xbox360? Forza 4? 3? one of those. As for GT whatever the last one on PS2 was I think (I skipped having a ps3)

I just set mine up yesterday and spent most of the day getting Grid race driver and colin mcrae dirt running at 4k 120 fps . It was a pain in the arse, people spouting that backwards compatibility on pc is a feature probably don't try too many old games.
