By now we've gotten used to the annual Forza release cadence where one year it's Forza Motorsport and the next Forza Horizon. Well, as part of a recent livestream Turn 10 creative director Chris Esaki noted that the team was still committed to Forza Motorsport 7. Which adds credence to the rumours of there not being a major Forza game, or Forza 8, this year.

With the launch of Microsoft's next Xbox also rumoured to be late 2020, then it makes sense that Forza Motorsport 8 would be positioned as a launch title - one that would no doubt be a showcase for the system's hardware. Which plays into Chris's comments relating to having more time and freedom than before.

In other Forza news though, a misplaced link in a recent community update led to a broken page with the following text found by a reader - relating to something called Forza Street.
“Developed in partnership with UK-based studio, Electric Square, Forza Street is built from the ground up to support a wide range of Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices.”

Which, as per the description, would be a mobile title developed by an additional UK studio - joining Turn 10 as series leads, and Playground Games as the creators of Forza Horizon. According to racing aficionados GTPlanet, this could simply be a re-branding of developer Electric Square's Miami Street racing game which features licensed cars.
