And in case you skimmed over that headline and didn't quite catch the number of zeroes there, that's one hundred million dollars in competitive Fortnite moneys up for grabs this year. Which is, a lot of moneys. With the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City scheduled to take place over July 26-28 featuring a sizable $30,000,000 prize pool.
Impressive.
As per the non-zeroes part of the headline details on the Fortnite World Cup were also announced. With the competition set to begin with weekly Online Open Qualifiers that will run from April 13 through to June 16. And even during this stage $1,000,000 will be there for the taking by elibible Fortnite players. From there the top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duos teams, will make it to the finals where each player is guaranteed at least $50,000 with the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion set to walk away with $3,000,000.
And it doesn't stop there with Epic pledging to continue $1,000,000 weekly cash tournaments through to the end of this year, across a variety of modes and formats. This will also mean updated and in-depth tournament tools for players and partners to help establish competitive Fortnite in more countries and regions.
