Time to cue up those sweet '90s break-beats because Forsaken is getting a re-release thanks to the fine folks over at Nightdive Studios. For those that can't quite picture Forsaken it was essentially Descent but for the Nintendo 64, PC, and PlayStation from way in 1998.
Originally developed and by Probe Entertainment and Iguana Entertainment, this re-release follows on from the re-release and remaster work carried out by Nightdive for other '90s hits like Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil.
Forsaken was a vision of a dystopian future where science has gone out of control. Scavengers from all over the known worlds have come to Earth to loot the remains of the technology that can found in underground tunnels. But beware! You must fight your way past automated defenses and the scum of the universe to find the treasures hidden on each level.
Forsaken Remastered is out soon too, with a release date of July 31 across Steam, GOG, Humble, and the Xbox Store. Although like with Turok it seems that Forsaken won't be available in Australia for Xbox players at launch as the store page returns a similar error. Which is a shame because Forsaken is listed as being Xbox One X enhanced - N64-style visuals but in fancy 4K.
