Flashback Remake Coming to XBLA on August 21, Includes Original Title

Ubisoft has announced that the HD remake of the classic 1992 title Flashback will be released on August 21 as part of the XBLA Summer of Arcade, for 800 Microsoft Points. The game is being retooled by Vector Cell, the French studio helmed by Flashback's original Lead Designer Paul Cuisset.
The original Core-Team revamped their own creation, leveraging the best of today’s technology while remaining true to the classic side-scroller that set the standards of the genre in the 90’s. A new generation of players can now experience a game that helped define sci-fi Action/Adventure games.

onrad is back to save humanity from an invasion of alien Morphs set on absorbing our minds and incorporating our species! Rolling and shooting, always ready for another fight, help Conrad save the world and his girlfriend.
Those grabbing the remake title will also be happy to hear that the original Flashback will be included in the pack, allowing players to take a trip down memory lane.

Ubisoft has also revealed that Flashback will be available on the Playstation Network and Digital PC later this year.

I remember how blown away I was when I first saw the original game due to how smooth the movement transition animations were. They were miles ahead of any other game of the time.

Look forward to playing the remake.
