It's somewhat unwieldy title aside, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, made its console debut last month -- and is available now on PC. As a stylish new Metroidvania set in a world with an anthropomorphic cast, it's focus on action, platforming, and puzzles is presented in a visually impressive 2D meets 3D look. And it's PC debut arrives with real-time ray-tracing and both NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex support.
The latter is a cool addition as it sees the esports and competitive focused bit of latency tech make its way into a game where challenging combat and timing is key. That said, this wonderful GeForce RTX launch trailer focuses mainly on the gorgeous environments.
Taking on the role of Rayton to save his friends from an oppressive regime his robotic arm serves as the main way to gain upgrades and additional abilities for traversal and combat. Built using Unreal Engine 4’s it makes full use of ray-traced global illumination and ray-traced reflections to create some stunning vistas and locations, and with NVIDIA DLSS it's fully playable at 60 frames-per-second in 4K with an RTX 3060 Ti -- with a 3X performance boost when playing in 'Performance Mode'.
As per above the game itself looks wonderful, but it's also great to see just how much of a difference DLSS can make in an indie-developed Unreal Engine 4 title.
