Reportedly accompanying the game's public debut at the 2012 Eurogamer Expo in London, Codemasters has revealed the first gameplay action for GRID 2, with a pair of new trailers offering a look at the new addition to the on-road racing series that it somewhat of a compliment to their popular DiRT rally franchise. Here's the skinny on the two clips:
The California Coast video follows a head-to-head, point-to-point duel between a contemporary Boss Mustang and a classic Mustang Mach 1 on a tight and twisty sprint for the line. Videos is captured from pre-alpha, work-in-progress code.
The Chicago video features a Street Racing stage where muscle cars, including the Camaro SS, Z06 Corvette and Boss Mustang, charge through skyscraper-lined streets and chase through tunnels. Videos is captured from pre-alpha, work-in-progress code.

Yea that did stand out as clearly wrong to me, but overall looks a lot like Grid 1.

That said the Drift mode was by far the best one & most enjoyable of all the car games before it.

I liked how the game was pretty much made arcadey because of that. But compared to a lot of sims it's drift mode made a whole lot more sense.
I just wish there were heavier penalties by default for running into a person, and they fixed AI a little so that if you have right of way (as far as race rules go) AI do back off rather then themselves take a penalty.
Turning a corner by T-Boning other cars was a skill i learned well in GT1 and 2 but modern games with instant rewind features should punish harder with allowing the player to do it better.
