And it looks pretty impressive. Scratch that, it looks amazing. Especially when you take into account that the game is still in the 'very early pre-alpha' stage of development. Coming from developer Night Dive Studios, System Shock Remastered plans to capture the spirit and intent of the original, but with the added bonus of modern day graphical and UI advances. And on that front, it's shaping up quite nicely.

Created using the Unity engine, this is certainly more remake than remaster. And this trailer certainly sells the new look for the game, with some impressive lighting, particle, and smoke effects. Night Dive Studios, a developer that has made a career out of re-releasing dozens of older games on modern digital services, is taking its efforts to the next logical level here, with a complete remake of System Shock.
