Not sure what exactly is happening over there at Square Enix, but after the announcement that Gamecube-era oddity Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was coming to the Switch, and Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition to all consoles - they've decided that hey, why not release all of the classics people might want to replay.

So yeah, Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X2, and XII. All described as high-definition versions, and for Nintendo - this is the first time that any console from the Big N has seen so much Final Fantasy love. Well, since the 8-bit and 16-bit era.

Pretty huge news actually, which makes us wonder what the status is on the in-house remake of Final Fantasy VII. Announced years ago, we haven't seen or heard much about it in a while.
