With FIFA 21 (our full review here) set to get its fancy next-gen update next-month on December 4. This is the big ol' download that will take full advantage of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X hardware - and arrives free for all current owners of the game.

According to EA, it will feature "blazing fast load times, deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, off-ball humanisation, and more". Which is the sort of thing you expect until your do a little double take and try to figure out what "off-ball humanisation" is. Some form of ray-tracing we don't know about?

EA will be showcasing the updates coming in the coming days, so stay tuned. For everything you need to know about the current-gen to next-gen upgrade process (which again is free for all FIFA 21 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) - head here.
