AusGamers was recently given a chance to play through roughly three hours of the first part of Far Cry Primal, where we also captured the adventure in video form, creating this video preview for you.
While much of the motion in terms of gameplay, and gameplay loops will be familiar, those specifics we're used to in the Far Cry series are far more at home in Ubisoft's bold Far Cry Primal.
The verdict is still out on the final product, but the three-odd hours of gameplay we were able to sink our saber teeth into recently out at Ubisoft, proved there's more than enough to have punters excited. It's a dark and brutal world, where the player -- not the player-character -- is finally the fish out of water, and the sum of its parts make an asymmetrical whole that will leave you spread across its stone age vasts.
It's also a gorgeous and inviting world, despite the above, and with the added ability to make friends with even hyenas, and have them do your combat bidding, there's an entirely new way to play Far Cry.
