With Far Cry 6's use of hybrid ray-traced reflections exclusive to the PC version. Where with Ubisoft's partnership with AMD it will support FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) to boost performance when the effect is turned on. As to why consoles are missing our on those sweet traced rays of light? Well, the development team is focused on delivering 4K 60fps as opposed to pure fidelity.

Ubisoft confirmed the above in a statement made to Tech Radar.
"Ray Tracing is a PC-only feature. On console our objective has been to take advantage of new hardware capabilities, optimizing performance targeting 4K and achieving 60 FPS for instance, all while ensuring that the experience on the previous generation of console would remain consistent."

Interestingly, even though NVIDIA's GeForce range has proven to be the most efficient at rendering high-end ray-tracing effects, Far Cry won't feature DLSS on the account of AMD's own up-scaling tech.

Ray-tracing has of course been a feature in this new generation of consoles, as seen in the impressive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart on PS5.
