While Far Cry 4 among other Ubisoft's bigger titles may be missing from Steam, that hasn't stopped the publisher from bringing out the official PC specs for the upcoming open-world FPS.

The system requirements aren't too demanding compared to other more recent titles, though that can most likely be attributed to Far Cry 4 also being on past-gen consoles. Check them out below, and let us know in the comments whether your PC passes with flying colours or not.
  • Supported 64-Bit OS: Windows® 7 (SP1) x64 / Windows® 8 x64 / Windows® 8.1 x64

  • RAM: 4 GB (8 GB or greater recommended)

I think the most demanding part of those specs is the recommended 5.1 surround sound.

That video card specs list is peculiar it starts with a 460 which is best suited for XP and ends with a Titan which costs a quintzillion $ and there is no mention of the gtx970.

And no mention of the 4k goodness cooked up between Ubisoft and Nvidia, Radeon guys the door is that way>>>>>>>>>>> .

It's supported cards, not recommended cards. Probably haven't tested on the new nvidias yet.

First of all, RECOMMENDED is not mandatory. Secondly, this is the first game I have seen that requires an i5 as minimum. Considering my Q6600 did FC3 well enough on max settings and this supposedly uses the same engine I'd say that's a fair step up. Maybe the AI is a lot more complex.

UBI has had some sort of pricing punch up with Steam and so UBI has taken the ball (removeing its games from steam) and gone home.

I think it is only in the UK at the mo.

Uplay is not as comprehensive as steam but it does work.
