New Far Cry 3 Trailer "Stranded" is Beautiful

The Far Cry series has always revolved around being an open-world shooter, allowing the player to explore a vast amount of beautiful scenery with no boundaries and ever-evolving AI. Far Cry 2 saw players in the African Wilderness where everything was a lush green or a dry brown, really showing off solid art-direction that was leaps and bounds ahead of so much else out on the market at the time.

Far Cry 3 seems to be no different, with the latest CGI trailer showing off the enhanced scenery that the game will offer, and also introducing us to the main character, Jason Brody. haha. yeh farcry2 has a lot of crappiness to live down. :D malaria, s***** jeeps, cut'n'paste checkpoints that respawn as soon as you are outta sight@!#!

but that trailer looks very slick. good looking model animation. detailed scenery. could be good.

wonder how much money they waste on getting a CGI trailer made and how much they aren't willing to spend post release properly supporting the game. of course one is seen as investment in advertising and one is just a money sink (despite creating the good will that fuels valves success)

Shame about the awful soundtrack, but it looks interesting, I must be one of the few people that didn't actually hate Far Cry 2.

I thought the music suited the action to be honest.

FC3 looks to be awesome.. I loved FC1, FC2 was meh.. but watching dev gameplay footage of the game.. looks really good.

My only regret with Farcry2 was losing my 85% completed save with a reformat. I def's can't be bothered going through it all again but it was a fun game.

Had some good times with multi as well.

#3 looks cool though, I'm keen.

I loved Far Cry 2, better then the first by far. I like the new bad guy character so far for FC3.

Finally got a chance to watch this. A perfectly good trailer ruined by s*** so-called music. There are probably a total of 2 people in the world who actually like dubstep.

Wouldn't be suprised if the CIA plays it during their interrogation/torture sessions.

I remember a FPS trailer a while back that had crazy people on an island. Wasnt it Far Cry 3 IIRC?

^ Dead Island's intro cutscene had a/the main character partying and drinking (and then popping pills) on and island and passing out, to wake up the next morning and find out some s*** went down while they were out.

There was a trailer released for Far Cry 3 at E3 last year when it was announced, so it could have possibly been that.
