From Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films (Person of Interest, Westwood), a TV series based on Bethesda Game Studios'
Fallout series is set to begin production this year. That is all of the good stuff - writing, casting, filming. With a planned debut sometime in the future on Amazon Prime.
According to a new report
over at Deadline, production will kick off with Jonathan Nolan set to direct the first episode. Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) have also been announced as show-runners, overseeing the first season's story. Bethesda's Todd Howard is being credited as an executive producer too.
“Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time,” said Kilter Films, when the series was first announced back in 2020. “Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”
With a world as rich, funny, and wasteland-y as Fallout no doubt there's plenty of opportunity to tell original stories. We're definitely keen to find out mroe about this one. Stuff like setting, the Brotherhood's role, and whether or not the main characters will eat Grilled Radstag and drink some Nuka Cola.
