Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 created by a group of passionate fans, and if you didn't know that going in you wouldn't be mistaken for thinking that this is an officially sanctioned Bethesda joint. Switching the location to Europe, we get hints of new factions, societal structures, crazy scientific experiments, and the moody horror of exploring a post-apocalyptic underground.
This sizable slice of gameplay presents close to 20-minutes of the game's introduction, and is remarkably polished. Featuring full voice acting (which includes Doctor Who alums Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker) and some wonderful detail, it's a great taste of what's to come. We also get a look at how some of the traits and other elements will factor in, plus it ends with an awesome look at London itself.
Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.
We first reported on the existence of this mod back roughly a year ago, and it definitely looks like a lot of progress has been made. That said as this covers intro stuff, and sets up a nice little mystery, we're now very keen to get a loot at the different factions. The high society Gentry, the thuggish Tommies, and the futuristic Knights of the Round Table at Camelot. Which we're assuming could be the game's take on the whole Brotherhood of Steel.
