Ambitious mods are things that always ten to impress, mainly because they're built almost entirely from a passion to deliver something specific or new using the look and feel of an existing product. Fallout 4 has not shortage of mods, but the currently in-development and Seattle-set Fallout Cascadia is one to keep an eye one.
Set in a vast sprawling 80 square kilometres of land surrounding Seattle it takes place hundreds of years after the events of previous Fallout games. With the action and conflict (because hey, war never changes) taking place in the year 2329 Fallout Cascadia will showcase a wasteland that is more post-post-apocalyptic society than barren field of wreckage. Which also includes hundreds of years of overgrowth. Mother Nature baby.
Another cool feature of the mod will be a return to the classic Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L and skill points of old, plus a traditional dialogue system that also plays into player attributes. With no current release date, Fallout Cascadia is the work of a global team of contributors, and one that we hope we get to see more of in the near future.
