Publisher 2K Games has released a new trailer for Evolve that offers the best look yet at Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock's forthcoming asymmetric multiplayer shooter.

Titled 4v1 Hunt, the video features an 8 minute capture of actual gameplay where four players are teamed up as hunters versus another solo playing controlling the goliath monster, and to help newcomers get a bead on what's going on, the whole thing is narrated by popular Dota 2 commentator Aaron "Ayesee" Chambers and Turtle Rock's Chris Ashton.

In addition to the video below, 2K has also released an "interactive" trailer that uses Youtube annotations to allow the view to dynamically switch between the five different player perspectives or disable commentary. Highly recommended viewing for multiplayer shooter fans.

Evolve is due in Australian Spring 2014 (Northern Fall) on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

I'm interested in this game. Could be fun. Though I hate that they got Ayesee to commentate. He's a dota2 commentator and man oh man. He over does the idioms and he's got this annoying lisp.

They've taken the tank battles from L4D and gone crazy with gameplay mechanics to enhance the depth of it. Looks really good. Could get old, but the L4D games are just a handful of campaigns and the 4 vs 4 format, but they've had some serious longevity. Hopefully it has enough variety to hold interest.

The interactive trailer is pretty cool, even though the commentary and play (dat health bar at the ending) make it seem like a tightly choreographed demo.
