Sony Online Entertainment has released a new developer diary style video exploring more of Everquest Next Landmark, the exploration and construction-focused free-to-play counterpart to its more traditional upcoming MMO Everquest Next (thanks VG247).
In this latest video, without mentioning the word Minecraft, SOE Lead Designer Darrin McPherson describes Landmark's basic crafting system, which consists of tier-graded tools such as copper, iron, and gold pickaxes, sickles, axes and buckets for harvesting different types of materials from the game world in order to build creative structures.
The clip finishes with a short walkthrough of one of the kinds of structures players can expect to be able to fashion in the game. Check it out below.
Beta registrations for Everquest Next and Landmark are currently being accepted over on the official website, but no release dates have yet been hinted at.
