EVE: Valkyrie Announced by CCP for Multiplayer Oculus Rift Spacecraft Dogfighting

Eve Online developer CCP Games has officially announced EVE: Valkyrie, a multiplayer dogfighting shooter designed specifically for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display, and set within the Eve Online and Dust 541 Universe. CCP impressed a lot of attendees at an event in April when they presented the game in an early prototype form as EVE-VR, and the reception was obviously encouraging enough to elevate the proof-of-concept into a full fledged project.

EVE: Valkyrie has been given a 2014 release date, presumably for PC only at this point. Check out the announcement trailer below, and hit the thumbnails for the first batch of screenshots.
