An all in one that includes out of the box Bluetooth, WiFi, and wired support. Take a call, connect to a PC, sync with a Nintendo Switch and plug directly into an Xbox or PlayStation controller. The
EPOS H3PRO Hybrid Wireless Gaming Headset definitely ticks quite a few boxes. Our full review.
But first... a snippet.
When EPOS released the EPOS H3 Hybrid Closed Acoustic Gaming Headset last year it arrived at the right time, a wired and Bluetooth hybrid that offered up great sound quality. With the Nintendo Switch adding Bluetooth audio support around about the same time as the H3 Hybrid’s debut, and EPOS finally going the “detachable microphone” route, it was a headset that could be taken on-the-go as well as something to plug directly into a PlayStation or Xbox controller.
The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid Wireless Gaming Headset presents a similar situation with the addition of a dongle-based wireless approach suitable for pretty much any PC. With traditional WiFi offering a lower latency than what you’d find with standard Bluetooth the H3PRO adds another piece to the impressive H3 line. More versatility across pretty much any device, and better performance on high-end hardware.
Throw in the ability to stream multiple channels of audio, like a game on one device and voice on a smart device, there’s a distinct “is there anything it can’t do?'' feel to the latest EPOS gaming headset. In fact, with the addition of ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) EPOS have positioned the H3PRO as an all-in-one solution. Which as per the product breakdown above, incurs a noticeable entry fee.
