As a part of a new update outlining the specs for the highly anticipated
Elden Ring, which is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, publisher
Bandai Namco is listing ray-tracing as a feature coming via a patch. Presumably post-launch, the feature is coming to the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X versions.
Where on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S a 60fps performance mode will also be supported. At up to 4K, with the Xbox Series S limited to 1440p. Bandai Namco notes that with the performance mode "there are differences in the display of grass and other ground objects depending on the console".
On the non-technical side, some more Elden Ring goodness arrives in the form cross-gen compatibility for saves. Albeit PlayStation saves will only be supported when jumping from the PS4 version to the PS5 version.
Elden Ring is out February 22, 2022.
