The hours tick by as we get closer to the launch of the Xbox One on November 22nd, and with the sands of time drawing closer EB Games Australia has today revealed their official plans for the Australian launch of the next-gen console.
With 317 midnight openings and 352 breakfast events planned across the country, the electronic retailer has revealed six official launches across five states that will house both midnight openings and a breakfast event.
The Official Xbox One Midnight and Breakfast Launches will be held at the following locations:
EB Helensvale, QLD
EB Tea Tree Plaza, SA
EB Knox City, VIC
EB MacArthur, NSW
EB Werribee, VIC
EB Rockingham, WA (Breakfast)
Those attending the select official launches will find DJ entertainment, games such as Hole In “ONE” Mini Golf, giveaways, refreshments, free slushies, and of course to gain access to your next-gen console.
Debra McGrath, National Brand, Events and Engagement Manager said, “It’s been an incredible year for the gaming community and we’re thrilled to be hosting events that help support and celebrate a new generation. The demand has been unprecedented, so it really is an exciting time for gamers and those working in the industry. It has been a fantastic year and this is only the beginning of what’s to come.”
EB Games has also announced a Fast Pass system, available to those who have already paid off their pre-order ahead of the launch. Customers in possession of a Fast Pass will have access to a priority queue which will ultimately allow them to begin the next generation of gaming sooner.

I am going to wait for a year before I pick up a next gen so it's cheaper and I'll be able to make an informed decision based on games and which of my friends has what.

plus any kinks in the launch models should be ironed out by then with the release of new models.

I dont give a hoot, I'm sick of paying launch prices I payed $1000 for my PS3 on launch
Console
1 Game
1 Extra Controller
1 PS3 Remote
WTF
Oh I also bought a launch 3DS for $349, one month later they drop the price and nintendo gave me 20 games that I could of gotten for free via emulation on my PC
So yeah I'm waiting a year and as ravn0s said my console will run better then yours

Can you please plug it into your W7-W8-W8.1 machine via USB and tell me if there are drivers available for it?
I've got a pre-order down for an xbone controller and I'm not sure I wanna bother using a 'seven day satisfaction guarantee' to learn if it does/doesn't work.

Last thing I read about Windows support for the new xbox1 controller is that it will be available after launch. Maybe a couple of months down the track rather than 23rd of Nov type thing.

wish there was a larger selection of launch titles but what can you do? DR#3 and Ryse will make for a damn good weekend. Can't see many launch issues myself I mean it's not their first rodeo but I doubt I'll go online straight away other than to claim the day 1 achievement anyway.

Question: When is the actual release date, is it Thursday 21/11 at 11:59am or Friday 22/11 at 11:59am? (i'm assuming it's the former but i'll still be in Mackay then)
